Friend Me:  Social Work Ethics and the Use of Social Media

The use of social media raises ethical dilemmas related to confidentiality and dual relationships. This workshop uses clinical vignettes to explore the issues and develop a process for resolving ethical dilemmas in this ever-changing area.

Participants will be able to:

1. Identify potential ethical dilemmas related to use of social media

2. Gain a better understanding of the new ethics guidelines related to use of social media

3. Develop a process for resolving ethical dilemmas
